Mayumi Okuyama is a Brazilian graphic designer and jeweler. She graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at São Paulo University and is currently an MA candidate in the School of Jewelry and Metal Arts at the Academy.
In the last seven years, she's been deeply involved with jewelry design, taking part in USA, Europe, and Brazil exhibitions. Mayumi Okuyama has been featured as one of the winners of the JEM Director's Choice MFA/MA Award for Spring Show 2020.
For this edition, she is presenting works that discuss the relationship with the space surrounding us. On a small scale, investigating space, light, and shadows; and on a bigger scale, human and nature.
