Krista Edge
Krista Edge is a costume designer who was first introduced to the industry through the theater community in Anchorage, Alaska. While pursuing her degree she split her time between San Francisco and Anchorage, which allowed her the opportunity to work on several productions in both locations. As of December 2020, she now has a BFA in Costume Design from the Academy of Art University.
The images included are a sampling of projects and productions that Krista worked on with AAU intended to show a range of different skills. Five productions were included: “The Gifted Ones,” “This,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” and an imagined dance performance “Ne Me Quitte Pas.” These productions cover historical, modern, and fantastical settings, as well as show a variety of types of media. The last section of images show construction projects that developed independent of any productions. They cover a range of skills from garment construction and corsetry, to millinery and mask making.
Krista is currently operating out of Sequim, Washington where she is focusing on private commissions, learning new quarantine skills like knitting, as well as raising a small flock of chickens.
