Mariah Moore
Since the age of 6, I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life; I just had to find a way to make it possible. I grew up in the small, rural town of Pinetop, Arizona. I was able to roam free in the woods by my house. I could sing and yell as loudly as I wanted because everyone lived so far from me. It felt like the world was mine. I always knew I was a bit different from the rest of my family, as everyone was in the medical field, and I faint at the sight of a hospital. For as long as I can remember, I have been singing and wanting to act. I would put on shows in my garage that I would invite my parents to and force my younger sister to participate in. They always saw it as a hobby, but I knew it was something much more than that.
What I love about performing is the opportunity to be vulnerable to experiences and emotions that I might never really encounter in real life. I love that acting teaches you empathy, and music can be healing. I am currently in the process of recording my album, and I can’t wait to share my creativity with the world.
