My name is Gary Jackson, I am an award winning cinematographer from Detroit, Michigan. I have been in love with filmmaking since I was 8 years old. I strive to create films that place BIPOC characters in situations that are outside of the norm and that don’t stem from a place of trauma or pain. I love cinematography but directing also holds a special place in my heart. I have experience working with many types of people and many types of cameras. My motto is “There isn’t a camera I can’t learn."
