I was born and raised in Myanmar, but I am of Chinese descent and ethnicity. Also, I have been trained and educated in North America (Academy of Art University, San Francisco, CA). I draw from my multicultural background by blending elements of eastern and western cultures in my creative metal and jewelry design. As part of this synthesis, I often employ images from one culture, such as Buddhist symbols of butterflies and flowers, with materials from other cultures, such as silver, carved wax, jade, and stones.
