I am a jeweler originally from Taipei, Taiwan, who moved to Shanghai, China at the age of 12. I attended Academy of Art University in San Francisco and graduated with a BFA degree in Jewelry and Metal Arts. Through my art, I like to explore small things in everyone’s life such as what is growing up? Why am I who I am right now? Or even just what and why things affect peoples’ emotions. I like to focus on these types of topics because I feel that the world we are in right now, does not let us show who we really are. But the society that we live in expects us all to become a gear that just blends in the society, to become so called “normal.” We are not allowed to show our emotion, to pursue what we want.
