Rashida Birdlong is a Knitwear Designer graduating this year at Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

She was born and raised in Berkeley, California, were she grew up around diverse cultures, identities and creative outlets. Creating things by hand is a passion of hers that came naturally.

She enjoys experimenting with unconventional knitwear silhouettes, through draping and patternmaking. Her collections are inspired by culture and human behavior, and focuses on ethical materials to keep her garments sustainable and clean.
